At 7:45 p.m. of today (Wednesday) Saudi Masses will move toward King Fahad international stadium to support their National Team who is playing the Final of Arabian Gulf Cup football tournament “Gulf Cup 22” against Qatar team, Saudi Masses isn't waiting anything but the title which will be the fourth title in their history since 11 years ag, where last title was in 16th session in Kuwait in 2003, while on the other side Qatar Fans are waiting the third title in their history and the first outside Qatar and also the first after 10 years where last title for Qatar was in the 17th session which was held in Qatar in 2007.
Lopez Care, Saudi team coach explained that the match will be tough and different and they have a commitment to give everything to win, while Qatar assistant coach confirmed that they are optimistic to achieve the title although they are playing with the first candidate and between his Mass and on his Land.
On the way to final, Saudi team topped his group with 7 points, after a draw with Qatar (101) and defending Bahrain (3-0) and then Yemen (1-0), then in the semi-final skip over the title holder UAE (3-2)
While Qatar team was in the second place of Saudi group with 3 points of 3 draws, the first was against Saudi (1-1), then 2 goalless draws Yemen and Bahrain, before scoring a big win against Oman in the semi-final (3-2).
Historically, both teams met in (20) matches, where (9) of them was for Saudi and (9) was draw and Qatar wins only in 2 matches, Saudi scored (32) goals and Qatar scored (12) goals.
First match between them was in “Gulf Cup 1” in Bahrain ended with (1-1) and also last match between them was in this tournament and ended also with (1-1). |
